Montreal, Monday, October 21, 2024 - Following the resounding success of the unveiling of the club's branding and name on October 8, the Roses de Montréal are keeping the momentum going. Today, the club is proud to announce the arrival of its first two players, Gabrielle Lambert and Charlotte Bilbault, two emblematic figures who epitomize the Roses' ambitions. This announcement marks another important step in building a competitive and inspiring team for Montreal.

GABRIELLE LAMBERT: RETURNING HOME WITH INTERNATIONAL EXPERTISE
A Saint-Hyacinthe native, Gabrielle Lambert is making her comeback in Quebec after shining bright on European fields. An exceptional goalkeeper, Gabrielle began her soccer career at the age of 4, and quickly distinguished herself with her talent and versatility. She now returns to the Roses with valuable experience after playing in France and Germany, notably with SC Freiburg, where she was the starting goalkeeper in the German Cup final.

"We're delighted to welcome Gabrielle to our team. She perfectly embodies the values of the Roses, both through her strong ties to the area and her international career. Her technical skills, precise reflexes and decisive saves make her a key member of our team. But beyond her talent on the field, Gabrielle is also an outstanding mentor, capable of passing along her knowledge to the younger players as well as raising the standards of the whole team" explains Marinette Pichon, the Roses' team Athletic Director

CHARLOTTE BILBAULT: PILLAR OF THE MIDFIELD
The Roses de Montréal also welcome Charlotte Bilbault, a defensive midfielder with an impressive track record. Born in Saint-Doulchard, France, Charlotte rose through the ranks of women's soccer at an early age, playing for some of France's most prestigious clubs, including Montpellier HSC. An international player, she has represented the French national team on 56 occasions, bringing with her a wealth of experience in top-level competitions.

"Charlotte is an impact player, with an exceptional ability to read the game and set the pace. Her presence in midfield, where she gets balls back and leads the phases of the game, will be a major asset for us. Her career, marked by exemplary steadiness and consistent performances at the highest level, makes her a natural leader on the field. I'm convinced that she will bring an essential stability to our team" adds Marinette Pichon.
