40+ Matches will stream live on ESPN+
Toronto, ON – April 7, 2025 – The Northern Super League, Canada’s first professional women’s soccer league, is set to make its mark in the United States through a new, multi-year media partnership with ESPN. This agreement will bring Northern Super League matches to American audiences, expanding the league’s reach and showcasing top Canadian and international women’s soccer talent on the leading multiplatform sports entertainment brand.
ESPN+, will stream 40+ Northern Super League matches including select playoff games and the Final. The Northern Super League on ESPN platforms begins with the historic opening match between Vancouver Rise FC and Calgary Wild FC at BC Place on April 16 at 7pm PT / 10 pm ET, streaming live on ESPN+.

The Northern Super League was founded by former Canadian National Women’s Team player Diana Matheson, who had a vision to create a pathway for Canadians to play professional soccer at home. The league will debut in April 16, 2025 with six clubs across the country: Halifax Tides FC, Montreal Roses FC, Ottawa Rapid FC, AFC Toronto, Calgary Wild FC, and Vancouver Rise FC.
